Visitors wishing to find out more about the area should pop into the Visit Caerphilly Centre, located in the heart of the town. The centre houses a fantastic selection of Caerphilly Cheese amongst other local produce and has a coffee shop for you to sit back and relax, whilst taking in the impressive views of the castle.
The town has an extensive events programme which includes a monthly Farmers Market and Craft Fair in the Twyn, The Caerphilly Food Festival (May) and Caerphilly Christmas Fayre (December) and the county borough's largest event The Big Cheese, which takes place on the Owain Glyndwr Playing Fields on the last weekend in July.
Parking is available at various points within the town centre, namely in the Twyn, Castle Court Shopping Centre, Crescent Road and at Caerphilly Interchange. There are excellent transport links to and from the town, with Caerphilly Interchange connecting visitors to Cardiff in just 15 minutes by train and 8 miles by bus.
