Visitors can expect a family-friendly event, recognising and celebrating the contributions made by LGBTQ+ people in our society. On the day, there will be live entertainment and an iconic Pride Parade to celebrate.

It will be an amazing day of live music, entertainment, and celebration as we come together in support of our LGBTQ+ community in Caerphilly county borough.

The town centre has a lovely selection of independent stores and offers a variety of eating out venues throughout the town so #ChooseLocal and support your local town centre!

Parade Information Pack 2024

We’re so excited to welcome you back to Pride Caerffili following last year’s spectacular day!

Once again, we’ll be starting off with our Pride Caerffili Parade, sponsored by DS Smith, at 12pm from St. Martin’s Comprehensive School, Hillside, Caerphilly, CF83 1UW.

From there, we’ll be heading down through the town centre and marching around the Twyn, past the Pride Caerffili Youth Bandstand, sponsored by Robert Price Builders’ Merchants.

The last stretch of our Parade will head back up to the Twyn Car Park, which will be packed full of food, drink and information stalls, ready for us to enjoy an action-packed day with our Pride Caerffili Entertainment Stage, sponsored by Unite Wales.

Whilst members of the public will be able to turn up and join in the Parade on the morning, we still ask you to take 2 minutes just to let us know you’re coming by filling out the event attendance form. This is to help us gauge approximate numbers and to ensure we have enough stewards to maintain your safety.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us at equalities@caerphilly.gov.uk.

We hope you’re looking forward to Pride Caerffili as much as we are! Remember to join our Facebook and Instagram event page and remember to use #PrideCaerffili to share your posts with us.

Parade Start

We ask everyone to try and arrive St Martin’s Comprehensive School no later than 11:45, so that we can all be ready to leave promptly at 12pm. We’ll have stewards and volunteers onsite to help you get in position as you arrive, but as we don’t know how busy the parade will be, we advise arriving early, so access will be available from 11am.

There will be light refreshments for sale at the school while you wait, along with toilets, and we’ll also make sure there’s plenty of music to get you in the Parade spirit! Just remember to bring along your flags, banners and bright colours to help make the day as fabulous and colourful as possible!

Please note, there will be no parking onsite for the Parade and we expect the town centre to get busy, so we encourage people to use public transport where possible.

  • 11:00am – School gates open
  • 11:45am – Everyone in position
  • 12:00pm – Away we go! Marching down through the town along the parade route
  • 1:00pm – 7:00pm – Entertainment on the main stage sponsored by Unite The Union
  • 1:00pm – 6:00pm – Entertainment at the Bandstand and Youth Area sponsored by Robert Price Builders’ Merchants
