Velothon Wales returns to Caerphilly

On Sunday 9th July the annual Velothon cycle race will return to the roads of South Wales.

To allow the event to proceed safely, it will be necessary for the organisers to implement a range of road closures and parking restrictions along the route.

Caerphilly Council is reminding residents that if they are aware of anything that will impact them on 9th July such as formal events, carer responsibilities or holiday travel, please let the event organisers know on 02921 660 790 or visit www.velothon.com/wales where you will find advice on navigating road closures with diversionary routes.

Those not taking part are being encouraged to turn out to join the thousands of spectators who will be cheering the cyclists. You’ll find details about participating in the event, spectating and activities taking place on the day and in the lead up to the event at www.velothon.com/wales.

The organisers would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience and hopes that disruption will be kept to a minimum on the day of the event.
