Gelligaer Community Council

Gelligaer Community Council represents and serves eight small villages in South East Wales: Gelligaer, Penybryn, Glyngaer, Penpedairheol (Cascade), Tiryberth, Glanynant, Cefn Hengoed, Hengoed and a delightfully bustling town – Ystrad Mynach (which includes Tredomen and Penallta).

They are the organisers and supporters of many local events and projects, having arranged the Ystrad Mynach Christmas Light Switch On event for many years. as well as funding and supporting the organisation of the Ystrad Mynach Festive Fayre alongside Caerphilly Council.

They support many local groups and organisations, bringing the whole community together.
